Job Title: Lead Project Controller for Cost Modelling

EUMETSAT, the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Project Controller for Cost Modelling to join its Project Planning and Control Competence Area.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing cost modelling expertise across the organisation, developing and maintaining EUMETSAT's corporate costing database, and establishing and improving cost estimation models and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide cost modelling expertise for cost in development, maintenance, and routine operations
  • Develop, improve, and update EUMETSAT's corporate costing database with historical information from programme development and operations
  • Establish, maintain, and improve cost estimation models and tools for future activities
  • Support the delivery of project planning and control services to the PRD department
  • Define and provide progress reporting to management
  • Support the Project Planning and Control Competence Area Manager
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in an engineering environment with multi-year projects
  • Proven knowledge and practice of administrative processes based on ERP systems
  • Strong MS Excel ability and knowledge of Power BI and similar reporting tools
  • Experience in design and development of databases and ETL processes
  • Proactivity and strong analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

EUMETSAT offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and development. The initial contract will be for 4 years, with subsequent 5-year contracts being awarded thereafter, subject to individual performance and organisation requirements.
