Business Unit CeGIT - Center for Grid Information Technology

Planning and designing overhead lines and underground cable routes to reinforce and renew lines in transmission and distribution networks, ensuring that the large amounts of electricity generated from renewable sources can reliably reach end consumers. To maintain the networks in excellent condition and ensure uninterrupted operation, we also offer our clients various innovative solutions, such as monitoring procedures for AI-based condition assessment of overhead lines through inspection flights using helicopters and drones, as well as the use of multisensory platforms.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conceptualization and strategic enhancement, as well as administration of our geoinformation system for the collection, processing, and presentation of spatial data in the infrastructure expansion of supply and disposal networks.
• Analysis, management, and quality assurance of geoinformation data and databases.
• Development of potential solution architectures for technical and procedural inquiries.
• Conceptualization, communication, and realization of solution proposals based on client-specific requirements.

Your Profile:

• Completed training as an IT specialist for application development, a degree in computer science/geoinformatics, or a comparable qualification (training/continuing education).
• Relevant professional experience in the aforementioned areas, as well as experience in VBA development and in ORACLE and PostgreSQL; GIS knowledge is an advantage.
• Quick comprehension and strong analytical skills, along with a willingness to independently delve into new areas of knowledge.
• Very good German language skills and a reliable, communicative working style.
