Electrical Engineer for High-Frequency Design

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled electrical engineer to join our team at the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration, IZM. The successful candidate will work on the design and development of high-frequency radar sensor modules, 5G and 6G antenna-in-package (AiP) front-end modules, and RF packaging structures, interposers, and system-boards.

Responsibilities
  • Literature review on state-of-the-art millimeter wave antennas for selected applications in radar sensing or wireless communication
  • Analysis of advantages and disadvantages of different antenna configurations for selected applications
  • Electromagnetic modeling and simulation of antenna configurations in one frequency band
  • High-frequency measurement of antennas and documentation of results
Requirements
  • Studying electrical engineering, physics, or comparable subject
  • Interest in high-frequency/microwave engineering
  • Willingness to learn, flexibility, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Independent and structured working method
  • Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English language
