We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Network Coordinator to join our team at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a diverse team of researchers and scholars from various Leibniz Institutes, developing an analytical framework and roadmap for policymakers, and generating evidence-based policy advice for national and international decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate a team of researchers and scholars from various Leibniz Institutes
- Develop an analytical framework and roadmap for policymakers
- Generate evidence-based policy advice for national and international decision-makers
- Liaise with external partners, stakeholders, policymakers, and the media
- Contribute to the drafting of a white paper targeted at international policymakers and the public
- Doctorate degree in economics, health economics, health sciences, epidemiology, bioinformatics, public health, medicine, political economy, or international relations
- Excellent academic record and ambition to make a real difference in global health
- Experience in empirical applications of economic theory, behavioral sciences, evolutionary biology, or epidemiology
- Experience with quantitative methods, including relevant software such as STATA, Matlab, R, or TreeAge
- Strong interest in developing novel research-based proposals for global health policy and global health governance
- Full-time position with the possibility of a reduction in working time
- Initial funding for one year, with the possibility of contract extensions based on additional third-party funding and internal evaluation
- Salary based on the German public sector pay scale at grade EG 13 TV-L
