Investment Operations Manager, Special Situations, Munich

We represent a private equity investment firm located in Munich, specializing in investments that allow for operational enhancements within various enterprises. The firm boasts a proven history of successful investments across diverse sectors in Germany, Belgium, and Central and Eastern Europe.
This organization is supported by a network of entrepreneurs, as well as national and international private and institutional investors. To bolster its current operations team, the firm is in search of a highly capable and driven professional at the Manager level, who will collaborate closely with the Operating Partner. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual with a background in management consulting, complemented by robust financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
In partnership with the Operating Partner, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing strategic initiatives across the portfolio of companies.
- Act as a primary liaison between the investor and the portfolio companies, working alongside the operations director or Partner.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for enhancing processes and operational efficiency.
- Play a pivotal role in crisis management, collaborating with the executive team to devise and implement crisis response strategies.
- Several years of professional experience, including initial exposure at a reputable management consulting firm.
- Strong financial background.
- Willingness to travel to portfolio companies, with a schedule of four days per week, while being present in the Munich office on Fridays.
- Broader operational experience and expertise in turnaround strategies.
- Proven ability to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with individuals at all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
- A humble, hands-on approach with a collaborative team player mentality.
- Fluency in German and proficient English skills are essential.
