Role Overview: As the Operations Manager at Lime, you will oversee the operations for the Essen / Ruhr region. Your role will involve being the primary liaison between Lime and local stakeholders, including city officials, community members, and businesses. You will advocate for safety, enhance ridership, and gather insights on local rider preferences. Additionally, you will collaborate with various internal teams to develop and implement market strategies and optimize fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a complex regional operations team to ensure performance metrics are met and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Oversee warehouse operations to maintain high standards of operational excellence and compliance, working closely with Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety teams.
- Act as the operational authority in your region, driving improvements and engaging in strategic discussions with external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular analyses to identify trends and implement strategies for growth and optimization.
- Develop and execute an operations strategy that supports the deployment and management of our vehicles, including workforce planning and competitor analysis.
- Recruit and nurture top operational talent for your region, focusing on planning, hiring, onboarding, and training within a warehouse context.
- Represent Lime in collaboration with our Government Relations team, engaging with local officials and business owners to ensure regulatory compliance and foster relationships.
- Lead safety initiatives to prioritize the well-being of our riders and vehicles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace that attracts and retains talent.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in German and English.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, consulting, engineering, or related fields.
- Proven track record in driving operational excellence.
- Experience managing a P&L.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics and KPIs.
- In-depth knowledge of the local area.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- 3+ years of experience in people management, particularly in warehouse settings.
- Proactive and willing to engage in hands-on problem-solving.
- Strong analytical mindset with a grasp of supply and demand economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
