Oracle Engineered Systems Specialist

Position Overview

  • Installation, configuration, and upgrades of Oracle Engineered Systems
  • Advising on planning and architecture of Engineered Systems solutions
  • Performance enhancement and tuning of Oracle databases
  • Diagnosing issues, problem-solving, and system monitoring
  • Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery testing
  • Collaboration with clients to provide customized solutions
  • Training and knowledge transfer for clients and internal teams

Requirements

  • IT-related education or degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle Engineered Systems, particularly Exadata
  • Strong understanding of Oracle databases and Grid Infrastructure
  • Experience in Oracle database optimization on Engineered Systems
  • Skills in high availability, database security, and data protection
  • Expertise in Backup, Recovery, Oracle Data Guard, SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting
  • Familiarity with RedHat Linux and/or Oracle Linux, and virtualization with KVM
  • Problem-solving abilities, ability to work independently, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
