We are a team of 7,200 employees who are driven to achieve excellence every day. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Manager - Recycling Raw Materials.
About the Role
The Purchasing Manager - Recycling Raw Materials will be responsible for managing suppliers from the D/A/CH region for recycling and precious metal raw materials. The successful candidate will establish long-term partnerships, negotiate contracts, and acquire new suppliers and material sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers for recycling and precious metal raw materials
- Negotiate contracts and establish long-term partnerships
- Acquire new suppliers and material sources
- Oversee the resolution of complaints and coordinate efficient solutions
- Prepare and analyze market reports and trends
- Collaborate with production teams and production planning to optimize processes
- Provide market insights to support strategic development of the market position
- Participate in projects and oversee their progress
- Regular visits to suppliers to develop and diversify the procurement portfolio
- Coordinate deliveries and ensure contract fulfillment for European worksites, in close collaboration with the Customer Service team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Fluent German and English language skills, with additional language skills desirable
- Proficient in Office 365 and SAP, with experience in metallurgical and technical knowledge
- Experience in recycling electronic waste is an asset
- Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Results-driven and organized
- Ability to find and implement creative solutions
- Highly developed intercultural awareness and willingness to work in an international team
- Willingness to travel
