Job Overview
DSV is seeking a skilled Freight Forwarder Long Distances Traffic / Speditionskaufmann / Disponent to join our team at our Kornwestheim location. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Disposition of shipments in the long-distance transportation sector (partial and complete shipments)
- Purchasing of charter trucks, transportation monitoring, freight space calculation
- Negotiation of prices with transportation companies, cost control
- Registration of time windows
- Calculation of customer offers
- Preparation of all documents for billing
- Receipt and processing of customer complaints related to charter shipments
Requirements
- Completed training as a merchant for forwarding and logistics services or equivalent qualification
- Experience with the internal program DINAS is an advantage
- English language skills in writing and speaking are an advantage
- Secure handling of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Team player, resilient, communicative, and good negotiation skills
- Well-developed quality and cost awareness
- Assertiveness and independent work
