Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our process plants in the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of functional safety in process plants, taking into account cybersecurity requirements.
• Prepare and implement safety plans and reports according to IEC 61511 standards.
• Support in the preparation of risk analyses and evaluation of safety requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security functions into the process architecture.
• Conduct security audits and reviews to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and technical rules.

Requirements

• Completed studies in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in automation planning or EMR maintenance for chemical process plants.
• Strong knowledge of safety instrumented systems (SIS), safety integrity level (SIL), and safety requirement specifications (SRS).
• Experience in carrying out risk analyses and evaluating or implementing safety requirements using process control technology.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
