Senior Cost and Value Engineering Specialist

We are currently seeking a Senior Cost & Value Engineering Expert focused on Power Cabinets, Switch Gear, and Control Cabinets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the competitiveness and profitability of Siemens Gamesa products through effective application of Cost and Value Engineering methodologies.
- Assist in establishing realistic yet competitive targets by analyzing customer needs, competitor offerings, and assessing both internal and supplier capabilities.
- Collaborate in defining and optimizing product architecture and specifications to ensure robust design and documentation approval.
- Develop comprehensive guidance and cost models to aid stakeholders in making informed decisions, ensuring optimal commercial conditions through precise cost data.
- Promote a culture of cost and value awareness across the organization, fostering a network for knowledge exchange.
- Contribute to the formulation of strategies for value and cost optimization, identifying best practices and piloting innovative approaches.
- Support the standardization and modularization of our product portfolio.
- Drive technology-specific programs aimed at value and cost optimization, with a focus on product cost efficiency.
- Conduct initial cost structure analyses and product benchmarking to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and understand the importance of leading change. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Several years of experience in Procurement Engineering, Cost Value Engineering, Product Development, or similar roles, preferably within the Switch Gear, Power Cabinets, or Control Cabinets sectors.
- Proficiency in Technology/Procurement and Cost Value Engineering.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires onsite presence.
