Organizational Context
You will play a pivotal role in a cross-functional team, influencing decisions related to electrical equipment suppliers and collaborating with them to align with Siemens Energy's requirements for capacity, capability, and cost efficiency. This position involves working within an international team of experts, leveraging collective knowledge to enhance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for the Instrumentation & Controls / Electrical Equipment Global Commodity Manager, contributing to the development of procurement strategies and project planning, supplier identification, capability assessment audits, and the introduction of new technologies related to I&C / Electrical equipment.
- Foster technical knowledge and expertise within the global supply quality network by organizing and leading a community of Supply Quality Engineers focused on training for the aforementioned products and technologies.
- Lead Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) efforts, often taking on the role of technical lead in multi-functional teams. This includes planning, tracking, and reporting on project milestones, as well as managing budget and resource allocations.
- Act as a key expert in the enhancement and development of strategic suppliers, addressing critical technical challenges while establishing and maintaining a commodity/technology network.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or industrial engineering, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven experience in supplier quality management, procurement, and the Instrumentation & Controls / Electrical sector.
- Expertise in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development to ensure a globally quality-assured and cost-effective supply chain.
- Proficient in leading projects and managing virtual cross-functional teams in an international context.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with strategic analytical thinking, leadership capabilities, and intercultural proficiency.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic & international).
- Professional fluency in English.
