Senior Software Architect/Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect/Engineer to join our team at Vets Hired. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Software Development: Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Quality Assurance: Test software/applications for quality assurance and cybersecurity vulnerabilities to meet Authority to Operate requirements.
- Communication: Leverage modeling/diagraming tools to communicate recommendations and current status.
- Operational Feasibility: Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Project Management: Establish and meet projected timelines and work effectively as a member of a team.
- Information Provision: Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
- Operational Improvement: Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Program Engagement: Lead program engagements with partners and customers on software capability, development, and integration into larger systems and system architectures.
- Education: BA/BS degree in Computer/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; Computer Science or a related Information Technology field or equivalent experience.
- Clearance: Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Technical Skills: Familiar with Modular Open Systems Approach, understanding of DevSecOps, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework best practices, knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework or United Architecture Framework, experience with multiple programming languages, commercial cloud products, micro service design, Application program interface (API) design, container-based architecture, automated testing, and cybersecurity processes.
- Soft Skills: Proficiency briefing technical solutions to both technical and non-technical customers and user groups, ability to design end-to-end solutions based on user requirements and constraints, strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes, enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems, experience developing Architecture and Data Flow Diagrams, skilled intelligent, articulate individual who relates to people at all levels of an organization, possesses excellent technical writing and presentation skills, familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to quickly grasp and implement new technologies.
