Position Overview

At understandAI GmbH, we are committed to harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence to facilitate its application in real-world scenarios. As a Senior Deep Learning Engineer, you will collaborate with your team to design and enhance machine learning models. Our mission is to streamline data annotation processes, pushing the boundaries of machine learning to achieve high-quality ground truth annotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and optimize our automation processes
  • Incorporate new algorithms and deep learning architectures into our solutions
  • Prepare and automate data pipelines and datasets
  • Participate in code reviews and engage in collaborative programming sessions
  • Mentor and support team members through guidance and technical advice
  • Research and implement innovative concepts from relevant literature
  • Assist the team in balancing cutting-edge research with robust production code
Qualifications for Success
  • Proven experience in deploying models in production environments
  • Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks, ideally with large-scale projects
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of Machine Learning principles, particularly in Deep Learning
  • Fluency in Python and Numpy
  • In-depth knowledge of linear algebra, stochastic processes, and computer vision
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
