Position Overview

Daniel Hentschel - Personalberatung is representing a prominent firm in the infrastructure sector, seeking a qualified Welding Engineer to enhance their team in Dresden. This organization is renowned for its engineering and construction services, particularly in the road and rail industries throughout Germany. They are currently in search of a (Junior) Welding Engineer to oversee welding operations at their facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing welding activities in accordance with EN ISO 14731 within the construction domain (EN 1090)
  • Supervising welding processes to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Developing quality documentation tailored to both internal and external client requirements
  • Conducting visual inspections at construction sites and production locations
  • Ensuring adherence to legal standards and company policies
  • Performing supplier audits and evaluations
  • Collaborating with design and production planning teams
  • Assisting in operational quality assurance initiatives
  • Acting as a deputy for the lead welding supervisor concerning WPK and HPQ Deutsche Bahn
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Steel Construction, Bridge Engineering, Assembly Technology)
  • Additional certification as a Welding Engineer (SFI / EWE / IWE)
  • Qualification in welding supervision for concrete reinforcement is advantageous
  • Visual Testing Inspector VT Level II certification is preferred
  • Experience in steel construction within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of DBS / Deutsche Bahn contracts is beneficial
