Technical Draftsman

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Draftsman to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Technical Draftsman, you will be responsible for conducting investigations to determine as-built quality, accuracy, and conditions associated with construction modifications and major modernization projects. You will update the project drawings library/database and prepare annual updates to the electronic installation base information maps and building floor plans from as-built drawings of projects executed by various DPW divisions and other outside agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations to determine as-built quality, accuracy, and conditions associated with construction modifications and major modernization projects.
  • Update the project drawings library/database and prepare annual updates to the electronic installation base information maps and building floor plans.
  • Assemble required data, drawings, and details to ensure accurate depiction of existing conditions.
  • Coordinate drawings, details, and data to ensure integration and accuracy before updating the library/database.
  • Provide CAD as-built drawings of buildings and infrastructure to DPW personnel, the Corps of Engineers, Architectural-Engineering firms, design and construction contractors, and privatized utilities companies.
Requirements:
  • Completed educational program in Engineering Drafting and completed further education/certification as "CAD Fachkraft".
  • 2 years of experience in Engineering Drafting or 1.5 years of experience in Engineering Drafting with a higher education level.
  • English Language Proficiency level B1 and German Language Proficiency level B2 required.
