We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Media Category Manager to join our team at reBuy reCommerce GmbH. As a key member of our category management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Media offerings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to steer 2 media categories along revenue and profitability goals, ensuring alignment with the overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with our pricing team to enhance pricing tools and strategies, and steer purchase prices as well as sales prices offered to customers.
- Own cross-media category projects and work with multiple departments, including product, marketing, operations, and data science teams, to improve overall category performance and implement new features.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Category Management, preferably in e-commerce or retail, with a focus on physical goods, preferably in the media category.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for pricing strategies and tools.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing category strategies, with a keen understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor analysis.
- Good understanding of metrics around inventory health, with the responsibility to find a good balance between availability and overstock levels.
- Excellent skills in project management, working with cross-functional teams, and leading complex projects defining the problem, analyzing its components, decomposing it into subproblems, solving those subproblems, and then integrating the solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace, especially Excel / Google Sheets, knowledge in SQL/ Python is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in German and English.
