Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at Forschungszentrum Jülich. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting research on light-driven materials and conductive polymers, working on micro-nano fabrication in a cleanroom, and carrying out related characterization with AFM/Confocal laser microscope/SEM.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on light-driven materials and conductive polymers
- Work on micro-nano fabrication in a cleanroom
- Carry out related characterization with AFM/Confocal laser microscope/SEM
- Work on cellular experiments
- Analyze and evaluate scientific data statistically
- Communicate with internal and external project partners
- Record all project notes in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a comparable field
- Previous knowledge in polymer biomaterials, nanofabrication, and neuroengineering
- Previous experience in cellular evaluation is desirable
- Knowledge in bioinformation processing with Python, MATLAB, or related software is a plus
- Interest in light-responsive materials, neuroelectronics, and neural interfaces
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new methods, technologies, and environments
- Fluent English in writing and speaking
- Interest in bioelectronics and optical technologies
- High degree of independence, motivation, and reliability
