About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Market Risk Management team at ING Luxembourg. As Head of Market Risk Management, you will be responsible for managing the balance sheet risks of ING Luxembourg, with a focus on Interest Rate Risks in the Banking Books and Funding & Liquidity risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate market risks.
  • Collaborate with local Group Treasury teams, Finance teams, and Pricing teams to ensure effective risk management.
  • Manage a team of risk experts and stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, external auditors, and internal 3rd line of defence teams.
  • Participate in strategic committees and organize the local ALCO to ensure efficient decision-making and communication.
  • Develop and maintain models to forecast and stress test market risks, including interest rate risk hedges and funding & liquidity risks.
  • Prepare and review regulatory reporting for market risks, including IRRBB and CSRBB.
  • Anticipate, monitor, and report on market risk evolution, developing mitigating actions proactively.
  • Forecast and stress test the development and sensitivity of ING Luxembourg's economic value and earnings.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements and expectations, developing change roadmaps and ensuring compliance.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in financial economics or equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in banking with a focus on ALM.
  • Strong expertise in ALM domain.
  • Passion and recognized experience in people management skills.
  • Excellent quantitative, structuring, and analytical skills.
  • Successful stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced program management skills.
