About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Risk Manager to join our team at Amazon Support Services Germany GmbH, supporting our EU Surface Transportation business. The Risk Manager will be responsible for managing multiple focus areas, including risk mitigation across various business lines and driving a risk culture through a well-designed training program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk training program for Surface Transportation, promoting a risk-aware culture.
  • Partner with business teams to ensure risks are mitigated in the short and long term, owning tracking and reporting of risk actions.
  • Take a big-picture view of issues, collaborating with global teams as needed.
  • Design controls to prevent recurrence of risks and evaluate new and emerging risks to understand their potential impact.
  • Earn trust through impactful relationships with key stakeholder groups.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials.
  • Experience with SQL and Excel.
  • Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements.
