Senior Cybersecurity Consultant for Operational Technology

Position Overview
In the maintenance facilities of DB Fernverkehr AG, Operational Technology (OT) serves as the digital backbone. To optimally support the maintenance and availability of vehicles, various "Technical Systems (TS)" are utilized within the ICE facilities. These systems are monitored, controlled, and managed through a network of sensors, actuators, and control systems. Cybersecurity plays a crucial role in this context. Therefore, we are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant for Operational Technology (m/f/d). You will be part of a dedicated team at the headquarters of DB Fernverkehr AG and contribute to enhancing the resilience of our IT/OT infrastructure against cyber threats.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee cybersecurity for IT/OT networks, systems, and system interconnections within the ICE maintenance facilities.
- Collaborate with the CISO department to establish an information security management system, focusing on OT and production-related IT in the maintenance facilities.
- Utilize your expertise in relevant standards to identify information security risks in the IT/OT environment and implement risk-reducing measures. Additionally, develop procedures and methods to ensure information security in the railway operational context.
- Provide advisory support on information security for procurement and infrastructure projects in the maintenance facilities, coordinating IT/OT-related topics in vehicle provision and maintenance.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding all matters related to IT and OT security.
- As a secondary asset manager, support central asset managers and local contacts in the IT/OT domain.
- Participate in corporate cybersecurity and OT security projects, representing DB Fernverkehr AG and keeping stakeholders informed about measures and their progress.
- Contribute to procurement processes, contract negotiations, and internal and external audits.
Your Profile:
- A completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, (Business) Engineering, Natural or Social Sciences, or a comparable qualification.
- At least five years of professional experience in the field of information security, with in-depth knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: Security Architecture, OT Security, Patch and Vulnerability Management, or Cloud Security.
- Practical experience with common IT security standards (ISO 27000 / IEC) and their implementation.
- A passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to managing topics professionally, motivating you to independently and creatively advance them.
- Ability to clearly and target-oriented present strategic and complex issues.
- Willingness to be on-site in German facilities as needed, for instance, during the installation of new technical systems.
- Fluent German language skills, complemented by good English proficiency in both written and spoken forms.
- With agreement from your supervisor, other locations may also be considered as your primary workplace.
