Requirements Engineer in Rail Technology

Together, we realize projects as a know-how partner for our clients. This includes ensuring safety and security requirements during system development or taking on tasks ranging from classical software development, verification and validation, to the design and assessment of systems and facilities.
Within an expert team, you will be responsible for the elaboration and coordination of software, hardware, and operational requirements for train control and influencing systems, supported by our Academy's training program.
Your Responsibilities:- Analyze and refine customer requirements and consult with stakeholders
- Draft comprehensive requirement specifications in accordance with international standards (CENELEC)
- Analyze existing requirement specifications
- Define, maintain, and revise requirements using tools such as DOORS or In-STEP BLUE
- Successful completion of a degree in a STEM field or comparable expertise
- Good methodological knowledge in requirements engineering
- Enjoy defining complex technical solutions in collaboration with clients
- Process knowledge from the development of regulated systems (e.g., rail, avionics, automotive) is desirable
- Proficient in engineering tools such as DOORS or In-STEP BLUE
- Strong analytical thinking, quick comprehension, and excellent communication skills
- Fluency in German and English
Upon joining ESE, you will not be thrown into the deep end. During your initial phase, a mentor and, if needed, a coach will be available to assist you with any questions and guide you through the ESE daily routine and your project. Additionally, you will receive a tailored onboarding plan to know what to expect in the beginning.
