Key Responsibilities

  • Assist regional Hydrogen Business Development teams in executing hydrogen initiatives from inception to Final Investment Decision, ensuring alignment with client needs, budgetary limits, and timelines.
  • Prepare and coordinate strategic and financial decision-making processes.
  • Direct and manage renewable energy supply for specific hydrogen projects.
  • Assess power supply needs for each hydrogen initiative and collaborate with the Power Portfolio team to formulate the supply strategy.
  • Enhance business cases by conducting sensitivity analyses using the project economic model (DCF model) concerning full load hours, energy pricing, and other variables.
  • Organize regular meetings or virtual discussions among the RES PPA team, Origination, and Hydrogen Team to foster communication and collaboration.
  • Track progress and address any challenges or discrepancies in the development of the power supply strategy and pricing.
  • Represent the organization as a subject matter expert in hydrogen project optimization, engaging in industry conferences, seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Provide insights to Uniper Communication and Regulation based on the latest hydrogen regulatory developments, assess the impact of (draft) regulatory changes on Levelized Cost of Hydrogen (LCOH), and propose a hydrogen portfolio action plan.

Candidate Profile

  • A strong passion for the Energy Transition, coupled with a flexible and self-motivated approach.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in commercial power optimization and structuring.
  • Proven experience in managing complex, interdisciplinary, large-scale asset projects within the energy sector or similar management roles.
  • Technical or commercial knowledge in related fields such as gas supply, methanol, gas infrastructure, power sourcing, plant construction, or major asset investment projects.
  • An analytical mindset with a solid understanding of economic behavior, energy policy, and market regulations.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to high-quality work, even under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A personality characterized by integrity, openness to new ideas, composure in all situations, a solution-oriented approach, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or Swedish is a plus.
