About the Role
Gehring is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular inventory of company assets, including hardware and software, to ensure accurate tracking and maintenance.
- Assist in the replacement of hardware and software components as needed.
- Organize and maintain a secure and efficient storage system for company hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role, or relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with IP networks and security protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
