About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and innovative leader to take on the critical position of Director - Procurement Digitalization and Processes. In this role, you will be accountable for overseeing the procurement digitalization strategy and transforming our procurement operations into a premier digital environment. You will lead a team of global project managers and procurement experts, driving the successful implementation of digital initiatives that enhance procurement's strategic value within the organization. Reporting to the Procurement Excellence lead, your leadership will be vital in reaching digitalization goals, shaping business processes, and establishing procurement as a leader in digital transformation.
Your Team
You will manage a team of 6-8 direct reports who will look to you for both functional and managerial support in this global leadership capacity.
Key Responsibilities
**Digital Procurement Framework & Roadmap:** You will own all digital solutions and frameworks related to procurement, managing a budget of 3-7 million USD annually. This includes not only the development of the digitalization strategy but also the execution and refinement of procurement processes and systems. You will identify and implement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and digital capabilities, ensuring compliance and driving efficiencies within the organization. Stay informed about digitalization trends and emerging technologies in procurement. **Team Leadership & Strategic Decision Making:** Lead a team of global procurement managers overseeing 10-15 digitalization projects annually, providing expert guidance and support. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on achieving digitalization objectives. **Project Coordination and Execution:** Ensure the successful management and execution of multiple digitalization projects. You will be responsible for project timelines, budgets, and quality, ensuring that targeted outcomes are met. **Cross-Functional Representation:** Represent procurement in senior management discussions, emphasizing digital initiatives. Advocate for procurement's digital needs and contribute to broader organizational digital projects. **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build stakeholder acceptance by effectively communicating the benefits of digitalization initiatives. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and strategies for mitigation.Qualifications
University degree in business or a digital-related field or equivalent experience. Over 10 years of relevant experience in procurement digitalization, consulting, or related functions. Extensive experience in procurement digitalization and process improvement, ideally in a leadership capacity. Strong understanding of digitalization trends and technologies applicable to procurement. Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of inspiring diverse teams. Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities, engaging stakeholders at all levels. Effective organizational and project management skills. Familiarity with change management principles. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience leading global, multicultural teams. Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of mediating conflicts.Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master's degree. Experience in various procurement functions within and outside HARMAN. Experience with implementing digitalization strategies and projects. Background in change management and managing cross-functional projects.Travel Requirements
