Our Gas Department plays a crucial role in the proactive management and optimization of gas-related activities within the EWE Group. Given the increasing complexity and dynamic nature of global gas markets, we are looking for talented individuals to support our gas portfolio management efforts.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of product and portfolio sensitivities using market data and quantitative scenarios.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to devise effective hedging strategies that encompass volatility markets and weather derivatives.
- Enhance tools for evaluating and managing gas portfolios in close partnership with portfolio managers.
- Maintain effective communication with relevant EWE units to coordinate gas-specific initiatives.
- Oversee the database infrastructure related to gas portfolio management, ensuring data transparency and process automation.
- A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (Diploma or Master's) or equivalent qualifications.
- A proactive attitude, a keen interest in understanding complex connections, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Robust quantitative and analytical capabilities, along with a solid grasp of statistical models and methodologies.
- Proficient programming skills (preferably in Python) and familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Ideally, prior experience in the energy or financial sectors, particularly in energy trading or energy markets.
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
