Quality Assurance Engineer
vor 3 Monaten
At Alstom, we are committed to creating innovative solutions that address the mobility challenges of today and the future. Our extensive portfolio includes a variety of transportation systems, from high-speed trains to electric buses and autonomous trains, along with the necessary infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility solutions. By joining us, you become part of a global community dedicated to tackling real-world mobility issues and contributing to international projects with a sustainable local impact.
Could you be the full-time Quality Assurance Engineer (f/m/d) we are looking for?
Your Future Role
In Hennigsdorf, close to Berlin, our team of 2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, is shaping the future of rail mobility. Our locally developed and manufactured products encompass high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, trams, and light rail vehicles. Our Rolling Stock & Components product line offers the broadest portfolio in the rail industry, with a strong focus on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems like batteries and hydrogen. You will report to the Test Team Leader and collaborate with a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We'll look for you to:
- Prepare tests for execution on vehicles and/or in the test laboratory, including the preparation of test procedures.
- Participate in the design and development of tools necessary for conducting tests.
- Implement, verify (functionally), and ensure compliance (calibration) of measuring equipment to ensure readiness for testing.
- Prepare equipment for testing and validate that the configuration and prerequisite testing allow for the testing to proceed.
- Adhere to EHS rules, particularly by implementing LockOutTagOut instructions.
- Supervise and/or execute test activities, analyze test results in real-time, and determine if retesting is necessary.
- Analyze test result data and produce static and dynamic test reports.
All About You
We value passion and attitude over experience. While we don't expect you to possess every skill, here are some that will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Capability in executing functional tests across various domains, including train-wide functions, operational functions, TCMS software and electrical functions, traction, braking, auxiliary supply and energy management, doors, PACIS, and signalling.
- Experience in TCMS development and/or validation.
- Experience in Functional Safety testing.
- Knowledge of electrical versus software design in trains, with familiarity in wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with interfaces and stakeholders.
- A quality-driven working style.
- Fluency in English and German (French is a plus).
- System knowledge of hardware and software components in rail vehicles is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently.

Embark on a transformative journey with us – the rail industry is here to stay, offering opportunities for growth and skill development throughout your career. You will also:
- Experience a dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company in green mobility.
- Enjoy a competitive remuneration package, 30 days of vacation, and benefits such as company pension plans and subsidized travel options.
