As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong business relationship with customers, working closely with Sales Engineers, external and intercompany suppliers, Technical Solutions, and Commercial Operations Engineers to meet on-time delivery commitments for pump repairs, upgrades, and spare parts.
You will act as a technical inside salesperson, working in a team and collaborating with sales, development, and other specialist departments at connected intercompany sites, as well as external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:- Process customer quotes, orders, inquiries, and complaints in German or English language
- Prepare cost estimates and offers independently
- Determine customer requirements
- Determine delivery times and monitor delivery dates
- Order from intercompany and external suppliers
- Organize transportation of machines to the service center
- Post-process and translate repair finding reports
- Prepare and support projects for pump repairs and upgrades
- Find technical information and solutions to specific problems
- Provide customer advice and support in German and English
- Conduct technical and commercial customer visits
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Technical studies (Bachelor or Master) or mechanical engineering technician (Techniker Maschinenbau), Bachelor Professional of Technical Management (Technischer Fachwirt oder Betriebswirt), no professional experience is required
- Fluency in written and spoken German
- Good written and spoken English knowledge
- Good computer skills in common MS Office applications
- Strong and friendly communication and team skills
- Independent and reliable worker
- Affinity for both technical and office areas
- Willingness to perform
- Can-Do mentality
