Your Responsibilities

  • Engaging with potential suppliers and conducting initial evaluations of their products
  • Attending industry trade shows
  • Building, nurturing, and enhancing supplier relationships
  • Requesting material and investment cost information, assessing proposals, and negotiating with suppliers
  • Collaborating with colleagues from Materials Management and Production to analyze and assess suppliers during audits
  • Managing sub-projects within the purchasing department

Your Qualifications

  • Completed training as a business economist
  • A degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Several years of experience in procurement, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent command of German and English; knowledge of Italian is a plus
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Good understanding of technical concepts
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, along with negotiation expertise
  • Willingness to travel as needed
