Student Assistant in Regulatory Insurance Affairs

Position Overview: Join the Mercedes-Benz Insurance Services team as a working student in the Insurance Governance area. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of regulatory standards and corporate guidelines within our insurance entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in qualitative risk management initiatives.
  • Support the execution of quarterly oversight in risk management.
  • Contribute to the 'DORA' project focused on regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze legal documents and facilitate their practical application.
  • Help prepare decision-making documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Assist in the monthly reporting process related to the internal control framework.
  • Participate in the policy management update process.
  • Engage in drafting guidelines and ensuring quality management of existing regulations.
  • Support technical task forces, including SharePoint applications.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in economics, insurance, or a related field.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in reinsurance and primary insurance.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements in the insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English; French is a plus.
  • Strong written communication skills and proactive approach.
  • Excellent conceptual abilities, quick learning, abstract thinking, and a collaborative spirit.
