Become Part of Our Compliance Community

You will integrate into a highly skilled EU compliance team comprised of five experts working across various European locations. Your base will be in Hamburg, where you will collaborate closely with the local legal team in a dynamic and cooperative atmosphere.

Expect to engage with compliance colleagues from the US, Europe, and APEC, addressing privacy compliance requests in a truly international setting.

Your Responsibilities

As the subject matter expert for data privacy in the EU and emerging markets, you will ensure compliance with GDPR and local data privacy regulations. Your role will involve:

  • Contributing to the strategy and action plans of the Corporate Business Ethics & Data Privacy function
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining incident response protocols and data breach notifications
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and management information
  • Providing guidance, assessments, and training on data protection
  • Conducting internal and external audits, reviews, and readiness assessments related to data privacy
  • Acting as the point of contact for external interactions concerning data protection, including liaising with relevant data protection agencies in the EU

This role may require occasional travel.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and certifications in Data Privacy
  • An interest in business metrics and operations
  • Several years of experience in data protection compliance and advisory roles
  • Knowledge of data protection laws in the EU, particularly GDPR, breach notifications, and cross-border data transfers
  • Understanding of IT, web, and mobile ecosystems and their implications for privacy and data use
  • Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written; proficiency in other European languages is advantageous
