About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Editorial Assistant to join our team in the Fiction department at Verlagsgruppe Droemer Knaur. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for acquiring and developing successful book projects, working closely with authors, agents, and other stakeholders to bring new ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire and develop book projects in the Fantasy genre, working with authors, agents, and other stakeholders to create compelling and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and implement marketing strategies for new book releases.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the Fantasy genre.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with authors, agents, and other industry professionals to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends.
  • Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure that book projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials, including book jackets, promotional copy, and other visual elements.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's editorial strategy and direction.
