About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Fire Safety & Life-Saving Engineer to join our dynamic team at DNV. As a key member of our Fire Safety & Life-Saving section, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of ships and ship systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute approval of fire safety and life-saving arrangements and installations for various types of ships
  • Support our field organization and clients in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines for fire safety and life-saving equipment
  • Participate in the development of new services and solutions to enhance our customers' experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improvement in our projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to represent the section both internally and externally
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in English, with knowledge of German language a plus
