Lead Software Engineer

Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop user stories, estimate tasks, and establish acceptance criteria.
- Drive feature development by refining acceptance criteria to align with stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee codebase maintenance, ensuring clarity, performance, and scalability.
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and resolve challenges.
- Organize team ceremonies such as reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
- Promote development infrastructure for efficient delivery and quality assurance.
- Lead architectural discussions, guide design sessions, and assess previous decisions.
- Provide mentorship to teams, foster innovation, and spearhead transformational initiatives.
- Contribute to comprehensive documentation utilizing tools like Doxygen and Sphinx.
Your Qualifications
- Expertise in C++ programming, ideally supported by an advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics.
- In-depth knowledge of algorithm engineering principles and a solid grasp of C++ 17.
- Proficient in Python programming and skilled in utilizing the Standard Template Library (STL) for enhanced code efficiency.
- Demonstrated adherence to SOLID object-oriented programming principles and a strong commitment to software craftsmanship.
- Experience in cross-platform development with CMake, Git, and Jira, along with proficiency in threading and IPC mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
- Knowledge of Linux application security (AppArmor) and familiarity with Boost C++ libraries.
- Experience with PEP-8 compliant Python programming and various C++ and Python testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Linux system container and virtual machine infrastructures such as LXD.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic techniques, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
