Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Team Manager to join our team at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 employees and overseeing the day-to-day activities of our local and long-distance transport operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 4 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of our transport operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partner companies and service providers to ensure seamless operations and optimal results.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage the long-term purchasing of vehicles for local and long-distance transport, as well as occasional purchases via the spot market.
  • Plan and implement processes to address deviations from standard procedures and changes in customer requirements.
  • Develop and manage quality indicators to drive business performance and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in quality meetings with customers to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Requirements
  • Completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or comparable qualification.
  • Experience in dispatching local and long-distance transport, with initial experience in employee management desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions, with strong process thinking and customer orientation.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required, with good IT skills and experience in intermodal transport desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to travel.
