Job Description

Your Role

As a Global Category Manager for Software COGS, you will be responsible for the direct spend within the Software Category, managing its development and implementing sourcing strategies. You will promote complex strategic initiatives and end-to-end procurement processes for software, delivering value beyond financial contributions, especially in procurement market innovations that contribute to digitization.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and be responsible for the entire sourcing to contracting process in your area of responsibility.
  • Align your strategies with relevant business contacts and act as a trusted advisor to initiate strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders to develop and implement effective, trustful, and personal relationships.
  • Manage business needs, define sourcing strategies, and select suppliers to lead negotiations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Several years of practical experience in procurement or software sales.
  • A successfully completed degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • A deep understanding of internal processes related to sales, service, and order fulfillment.
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English, with additional languages being an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, commercial understanding, and a willingness to lead change.
