About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building big data processing pipelines, optimizing data storage and processing for speed and efficiency, and recommending ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Create efficient big data processing pipelines to support the development of data products
  • Optimize data storage and processing for speed and efficiency
  • Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to engineering best practices

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience working with distributed clusters, specifically with Distributed Columnar Databases, e.g. Redshift, Clickhouse, BigQuery
  • Proficient in building data processing pipelines and analytical components for complex data products
  • Expertise in Spark, Java, or Scala
  • Knowledge of any Cloud technology, preferably GCP
  • Good communication skills, good written and spoken English
