About the Position

We are seeking a Data Engineer (f/m/d) with expertise in web scraping and PDF extraction to become a part of our innovative Certivity team.

Your Role

Certivity is a pioneering startup focused on transforming how product manufacturers navigate regulatory compliance. In this position, you will engage in experimentation with text generation, summarization, search functionalities, and question answering, utilizing the latest technological advancements. You will also convert successful experiments into product features that resonate with our clients. This role offers the opportunity to apply state-of-the-art NLP techniques to practical challenges within the regulatory landscape. As a member of our compact yet expanding team, you will have a distinctive chance to influence both the product and the organization.

Your Qualifications

As a Data Engineer (m/f/d) at Certivity, your duties within the data team will include extracting information from online sources and PDFs using Python, constructing data pipelines in the cloud with Azure, and managing data within MongoDB.

Your qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in Python (knowledge of C++ is advantageous);
  • Experience in web scraping and crawling;
  • Proven skills in PDF extraction;
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred);
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred);
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (English is the company language);
