At Sportradar, we lead the charge in digital marketing and advertising within the sports and igaming sectors. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and innovative methodologies, we deliver exceptional outcomes for our clientele. We are currently in search of a seasoned Director of Programmatic Media Solutions to spearhead our vibrant team in the creation and implementation of cutting-edge advertising products, encompassing Demand Side Platforms (DSP), Paid Social, Paid Search, and Data Solutions.
The Director of Programmatic Media Solutions (m/f/d) will manage our programmatic media purchasing initiatives across various channels through Sportradar's proprietary DSP. This position necessitates a blend of analytical expertise, strategic foresight, and leadership capabilities to effectively oversee our programmatic advertising teams and operations. The ideal candidate will be accountable for the successful market integration of the DSP, achieving remarkable performance, nurturing key partnerships, managing internal and external relationships, and keeping pace with industry trends and advancements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive programmatic strategy that aligns with the organization's marketing goals.
- Guide, mentor, and expand the programmatic team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Trading, Supply, Engineering, and Product Management, while fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork.
- Cultivate robust relationships with technology providers, platforms, and clients to secure access to optimal tools and inventory.
- Product Strategy and Management:
- Prioritize product initiatives based on business goals, market insights, and client feedback.
- Propel innovation by exploring new programmatic technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure the seamless integration of programmatic platforms with other marketing technologies to facilitate efficient data flow and insights generation.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams to guarantee product success and alignment with user requirements.
- Market Insights:
- Continuously assess market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and technological advancements to pinpoint opportunities for new features, enhancements, and potential new products, particularly regarding cookie deprecation and mobile trends.
- Evaluate campaign data to uncover trends, insights, and areas for enhancement.
- Stay informed about industry regulations to ensure compliance, especially concerning data usage and privacy.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and external partners, to ensure that expectations and objectives are met.
- Act as the product advocate, both internally and externally.
- Regularly present performance metrics and strategic insights to senior stakeholders and adjust strategies as needed.
- Financial and Operational Management:
- Oversee the product budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively for optimal product development and profitability.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators to evaluate product performance and impact.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience in programmatic advertising, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proficient in utilizing DSPs, DMPs, SSPs, Data Clean Rooms, attribution, and ad verification tools.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience with performance metrics and ROI assessment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proven success in managing and scaling high-performing teams.
- In-depth understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including supply and attribution across various channels such as Display, Video, DOOH, App Installs, and Audio.
- Awareness of current industry regulations and guidelines related to data privacy.

The minimum monthly salary for this role is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement, with potential for overpayment based on qualifications and experience.
