Internship in Fuel Cell Development: Design and Optimization

About the Role:
As a member of the Unit Cell & Bipolar Plate Technology team at Freudenberg, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing fuel cell components such as bipolar plates, seals, cells, and test setups in CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize fuel cell components in CAD, including bipolar plates, seals, cells, and test setups.
- Manufacture fuel cell components in our lab and build up prototypes.
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate tests, and present the results.
- Support or conduct numerical simulations.
- Carry out technical research and present the results.
- Coordinate suppliers and create technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, energy engineering, or similar courses of study.
- Interest in fuel cell technology, with a basic understanding desirable.
- CAD knowledge, ideally in Solidworks, and CFD/CAE knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Precise, careful, and independent work style with quality awareness.
- The internship is a mandatory part of your study and comprises 4-6 months.
