Position Summary:
As a Taxation Lead, you will be an integral part of the Accounting & Tax division at our headquarters in Berlin. This role emphasizes collaboration with the Director of Tax and various stakeholders throughout the organization, while enhancing your expertise in tax-related processes and initiatives within the SoundCloud Group. You will benefit from the mentorship of experienced colleagues who are eager to share their insights, enabling you to manage your responsibilities effectively, expand your skill set, and broaden your perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit indirect tax filings.
- Oversee the accurate processing of withholding taxes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual corporate tax returns and calculations.
- Contribute to the enhancement of tax compliance at SoundCloud, supporting the establishment of standards and the development of a tax guideline.
- Collaborate with Finance teams during the monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring reconciliation of tax-related accounts.
- Support annual financial and tax audits.
- Engage in transfer pricing-related projects.
- Work alongside other departments on tax-related issues and serve as a proactive partner for tax inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a corporate tax department or a tax consultancy firm (qualifications such as 'Steuerfachangestellter' or 'Bilanzbuchhalter' are advantageous).
- Strong understanding of German tax regulations, HGB, and IFRS.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Fluent in English (German proficiency is a plus) with a professional and respectful communication style, both written and verbal.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and ambitious work environment where performance is evaluated based on results rather than formalities.
