Job Description

Fresenius Medical Care is a global leader in the field of medical devices and dialysis products. As a Technical Lead Blood Module, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of complex systems and components within our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end responsibility for a subsystem and its components, including technical, temporal, and budgetary aspects
  • Clarification of needs and requirements
  • Definition of functions and their prioritization and design
  • Leadership of large, cross-functional, interdisciplinary, and international teams
  • Closely collaborate with product and project management and system architects
  • Closely coordinate and collaborate with development activities for adjacent products with interfaces to the subsystem
  • Support and identification of therapy system innovations
  • Initiation and coordination of pre-development activities in the field of dialysis therapy, process automation, and diagnostics
  • Coordination, initiation, and technical support of clinical studies (medical and non-medical)
Requirements
  • Completed studies in engineering, economics, physics, medical technology, or a related field
  • Long-term experience in the development of medical devices, preferably in the field of dialysis
  • More than 5 years of experience in leading technical projects and initiating, evaluating, and implementing innovation projects
  • Experience in multiproject management and dealing with complex projects and many dependencies
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements in medical device development and approval
  • Good knowledge of components or modules within Fresenius dialysis devices
  • Knowledge in the fields of component, product, and technology development
  • Knowledge in the fields of risk management and requirement engineering
  • High skills in dealing with complexity, managing dependencies, and working with uncertainty
  • Deep technical expertise in the functions and relationships of dialysis therapy systems
  • High interpersonal skills, also in international collaboration
  • Willingness to travel to other Fresenius Medical Care locations and external partners within Germany and internationally (approximately 20%)
  • Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking
