  • Our goal is to identify obstacles that prevent businesses from obtaining loans or issuing equity. Furthermore, we aim to investigate the influence of public investments and the ideal combination of public and private capital to support transformative projects.
  • Recent financial crises have underscored the detrimental effects of limited access to debt and equity markets on corporate investments, employment, and overall growth. Gaining insights into these dynamics can facilitate improved funding access for enterprises and assist policymakers in crafting effective strategies for future financial challenges.

Position Overview: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Finance 'Center for European Transformation'

Frankfurt School is offering a Postdoctoral Fellowship position funded by the newly established 'Center for European Transformation'. This two-year fellowship is centered on financial intermediation and capital markets, and it involves collaboration with a dedicated team of researchers in this domain.

The primary objective is to enhance research capabilities and provide postdoctoral researchers with the opportunity to strengthen their academic profiles. We are looking for a candidate who can produce high-quality research and publications recognized on a global scale. While teaching responsibilities are not part of this role, the position will involve research tasks within the center.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD in finance or economics, with a strong background in machine learning and data science; experience in analyzing unstructured data (NLP) is advantageous. Evaluation will be based on the candidate's skills, knowledge, and fit for the position.
