Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Steelcase. As a key member of our industrial engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, installing, and monitoring production and assembly lines. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production planning and control systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Conduct process audits and implement improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for production processes and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on production technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning and control systems, manufacturing technologies, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
