Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Centralized Manufacturing to join our team at Ottobock. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing our central manufacturing strategy, ensuring the efficient use of production resources, and driving innovation in manufacturing technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a centralized manufacturing strategy, including the identification of best-in-class processes, tools, and cost advantages.
  • Establish a global manufacturing presence, leveraging production resources to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the development of an integrated production and process chain, including the implementation of ordering and communication platforms.
  • Transfer local and heterogeneous manufacturing processes into an integrated central manufacturing process chain.
  • Provide technical leadership to local units, harmonizing and standardizing processes and tools to a global standard.
  • Collaborate with international development project teams to ensure seamless production launch of new products.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing a medical device manufacturing facility.
  • Extensive experience in setting up and operating a centralized production structure.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes and tools for batch size 1 products.
  • Strategic mindset, persuasive and assertive skills, and numeracy.
