Damovo Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG is in search of a dedicated and experienced Senior IT Procurement Specialist (m/f/d) to enhance our Group Procurement team. This pivotal role involves the strategic sourcing and acquisition of IT-related products and services to fulfill our clients' requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation capabilities, and extensive expertise in IT procurement, demonstrating a history of achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for IT products and services, encompassing hardware, software, telecommunications, and cloud solutions, to align with business goals.
- Evaluate, establish, and nurture supplier partnerships to guarantee product excellence, cost efficiency, and prompt delivery.
- Lead negotiations with vendors to obtain advantageous terms, including pricing, discounts, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Initiate cost-reduction strategies through supplier consolidation, volume pricing, and process improvements while upholding high-quality benchmarks.
- Keep abreast of market dynamics, technological innovations, and supplier performance to uncover opportunities for enhancement and savings.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, finance, and business units, to comprehend requirements, synchronize procurement strategies, and deliver value-added solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships, including supply chain interruptions, product quality challenges, and cybersecurity threats.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement endeavors.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in a strategic procurement role, managing suppliers in an international context.
- Demonstrated experience in IT procurement, with a solid understanding of the market and IT products and services, including hardware, software, telecommunications, and IT-related services.
- Outstanding negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate and sustain effective supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Awareness of IT market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, such as e-sourcing platforms and contract management software.
- Exceptional commitment to internal customer satisfaction, coupled with strong communication skills in both German and English.
