Position: Quantitative Student Analyst – Power & Hydrogen Markets (Office-Based)

Type: Internship or Working Student

We are seeking multiple student analysts/data scientists to enhance our expanding energy analytics division.

As a student at Tschach Solutions, you will engage in shaping our analytics for European power, hydrogen, gas, and carbon markets. You will undertake your own project, cultivate your ideas, and make substantial contributions to our offerings. Collaborating with our seasoned analyst team, you will receive guidance and engage in stimulating discussions regarding your project and analyses.

We provide our students with significant flexibility concerning their academic schedules, allowing for independent organization of working hours.

As a leading research and forecasting entity, we offer access to a diverse array of data and optimization tools, along with support from highly skilled analysts to help you commence your journey and gain valuable insights.

Your individual project will be tailored to your skills and interests, potentially involving tasks such as automated data extraction using Natural Language Processing (NLP) or modeling development for heat pump deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of innovative tools, features, and models utilizing advanced data science methodologies, including AI when applicable.
  • Comprehension of the broader energy landscape, encompassing power, gas, carbon, coal, hydrogen, and ammonia markets.
  • Assisting the analyst team with daily operations, market analysis, and fundamental modeling.
  • Application of model outcomes on our client-facing analytics platform.

Essential Skills:

  • Interest and foundational understanding of energy markets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, GAMS, HTML, SQL, etc.
  • Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking, and numerical proficiency.
  • Eagerness to learn new modeling techniques.
  • Effective communication skills in English, suitable for an international setting.
