LEAD SUPPLY TECHNICIAN Location: Germany Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Supply Technician will oversee a team of approximately 10 personnel engaged in the creation, evaluation, and management of unit-level and property book-level transactions within the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) – Army. Responsibilities include:

  • Initiating Purchase Requests and Committal (PR&C) within the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
  • Validating contractor invoices through the Invoicing, Receipt, Acceptance, and Property Transfer System (iRAPTS).
  • Providing clear instructions and expectations to team members while monitoring their progress.
  • Establishing work priorities in accordance with regulations and local requirements.
  • Assisting in resolving complex cases referred by colleagues.
  • Addressing employee complaints and escalating serious issues to higher management.
  • Distributing workload and setting clear work assignments.
  • Supporting Equal Employment Opportunity initiatives and other management programs.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

  • E&T Level I: 2 years of relevant experience plus 2 additional years of experience in a related field.
  • E&T Level II: 1 year of relevant experience plus 2 additional years of experience in a related field.
  • E&T Level III: 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • E&T Level IV: No additional experience required.

All applicants must possess a valid Class B driver's license and be capable of obtaining and maintaining USAREUR Driver's and Military credentials. Proficiency in Office Automation is mandatory, and knowledge of GCSS and GFEBS is preferred.

Language Proficiency

Fluency in English (C1) and German (C1) is required. Candidates are encouraged to assess their language skills through online testing platforms that comply with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Employment Conditions

This is a permanent full-time role (38.5 hours per week) with the designated duty station currently in Germany. The incumbent may be reassigned to another location within the same agency. The position requires the ability to lift heavy items (up to 70 lbs) and may involve occasional temporary duty assignments.
