Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our hybrid (Cloud and Edge) IoT data infrastructure, including our Data Lake and MLOps.
Responsibilities- Design and develop a robust and scalable data catalogue to effectively manage metadata, adhering to best practices for data governance, management, and accessibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, speed, and scalability in our highly efficient storage layer, handling large amounts of sensor data (petabytes).
- Translate business challenges into scalable data architectures, working closely with Data Science, Operations, and Business stakeholders.
- Maintain expertise in current technologies, future trends, and innovative methods through continuous training, cross-industry networking, and conference attendance.
- Technical degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering, preferably in big data, IoT, and sensor data management for data analysis and ML.
- Excellent knowledge of state-of-the-art storage technologies and their productive use (NoSQL, time series databases, document stores, graph databases, etc.).
- Sound programming skills in development with Python or other programming languages.
- Experience with containerization (Docker and Kubernetes).
- Excellent analytical skills and a quick grasp of complex concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of AI workloads and MLOps.
- Familiarity with stream processing technologies (Apache Flink, Spark, Storm, or Kafka).
- Good knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and understanding of how to use the services optimally.
