IT Support Specialist in Manufacturing Environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and document inquiries and incidents related to the PC and application landscape of the organization.
  • Independently address and track inquiries and incidents, perform troubleshooting, and collaborate with second-level support teams.
  • Integrate production machinery and modules into the company’s IT framework, ensuring seamless functionality with IT components.
  • Install applications and Windows operating systems, provide on-site assistance for setups, initial training, repairs, and relocations.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of support processes, documenting configuration modifications and updates.
  • Implement established backup and recovery protocols for client and machine systems.
  • Assist in the upkeep and expansion of local network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN).
  • Engage in local IT initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training in IT.
  • Several years of experience within the IT department of a manufacturing organization, including expertise in integrating equipment into IT systems.
  • Proficiency in network technologies (LAN, WLAN, etc.).
  • Familiarity with server management and Windows server operating systems; knowledge of Linux is advantageous.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
  • Analytical abilities, customer-focused approach, self-motivated work style, team-oriented, and a sense of accountability.
  • Effective communication skills in both German and English.
